February often brings a variety of weather to South Texas, from freezing cold to thunderstorms or even elevated fire danger. This February, however, the overwhelming theme has been warm, spring-like temperatures nearly every day so far this month.
Through Wednesday, San Antonio’s average daily high temperature this month has been 75.4 degrees, which ranks as the third-warmest start for a February in the city’s weather history. This level of warmth comes about a month ahead of schedule, as temperatures like this typically don’t occur in the region until mid-March.
Warm weather is expected to continue for the rest of the work week, with San Antonio afternoon highs expected in the 80s both Thursday and Friday. Thursday’s forecast
Mild and muggy weather is expected early Thursday as morning temperatures hover in the lower 60s across the San Antonio metro area. With the clouds and fog, temperatures will be slow to change initially, likely still sitting in the upper 60s at 10 a.m. But as skies clear during the middle of the day, temperatures will start rising quickly. Expect temperatures in the mid-70s at noon, before climbing into the lower 80s by 1 or 2 p.m…
