SWAT standoff in South Jordan ends with man in custody

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — A man is in custody after a SWAT standoff in South Jordan on Wednesday evening.

According to the South Jordan Police Department, at approximately 8 p.m. on Wednesday, a 22-year-old male unlawfully entered his family’s residence in violation of a protective order. Family members safely exited the home and contacted law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers observed the male punching walls and yelling. When commanded by law enforcement to exit the home, the male refused to comply.
