Aurora agrees to settle a lawsuit against property owners who claimed gang takeover

AURORA, Colo. — The city of Aurora has agreed to settle a lawsuit it brought against CBZ Management, related to closing the Edge at Lowry apartments at 12th Avenue and Dallas Street last year.

Aurora was seeking about $1 million in damages related to closing the apartments. The owners agreed to pay $300,000 to settle the lawsuit. The agreement states the dollar amount is not a penalty, but rather “Is considered a reimbursement to the Plaintiff for its costs in maintaining and closure of the Dallas Street Properties.”
