Third suspect arrested in Las Vegas in connection with California rapper’s 2024 murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The third suspect accused in the deadly 2024 shooting of a California rapper has been arrested in Las Vegas, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Christopher Cheeks, 32, was murdered outside a music studio on Hayes Street. Cheeks, who went by the stage name Chris King, was in an alleyway near the studio when a group of men — including 33-year-old Trayvon Palmer, according to Metro police — ultimately tried to rob Cheeks and his friends before fatally shooting him.
