OHIO — Federal investigators say a man accused of drug trafficking stored large amounts of illegal drugs and firearms inside a shipping container on Akron’s east side.
According to a federal affidavit, investigators allege Ishmael Wahid used a conex box — a type of shipping container — parked on an industrial property in the 100 block of Massillon Road to store narcotics he was selling in the Akron area.
Authorities conducted surveillance on the container between November and February and reported seeing a person matching Wahid’s description enter the container with bags and leave without them on multiple occasions, including with a backpack, duffel bag and roller suitcase…
