Galesburg man accused of making online threat against school

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A Galesburg man was arrested after police say he made violent threats toward a Battle Creek-area school and its students.

The threats were made on a social media platform by a 57-year-old man Battle Creek police said. He referenced a protest planned by a student organization at a Battle Creek-area school, according to police. The school was not named by police.

People who saw the post online reported it to police Wednesday. Officers identified the suspect, went to his home Thursday and arrested him on a charge of making threats to commit violence against students with a firearm, police said…
