KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The City of Knoxville is awarding 11 East Knoxville nonprofits $140,000 in the form of Community Safety and Empowerment Grants to focus on the African American Equity Restoration Task Force’s mission.
Under the task force, those awarded must use the grant for at least one of five focus areas, including education, community investment, homeownership, small business development, and workforce equity.
