POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said it is heartbroken to announce the death of one of its own, Sergeant Lonnie Weatherford.
Weatherford had heart surgery but passed away from unexpected complications in the hospital on Feb. 14, according to the sheriff’s office. He was 47 years old.
