3 people displaced after fire damages Lexington home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Three people are out of their home on Wednesday evening after a fire in Lexington.

Just before noon on Feb. 18, the Lexington Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on the 100 block of Winston Avenue.

Crews told FOX 56 that when they arrived, smoke was coming from the back of the house, and they contained the fire to a back bedroom. But the home was still significantly damaged.

“Right now, the extent is one bedroom and some smoke damage and water damage throughout the house, along with the hole in the roof. Three people living at the house right now, and one animal, a dog. We’ll get them set up with a place to stay with the Red Cross,” District Chief Justin Dee said…
