LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The Mackinac Bridge closed Thursday morning due to hazardous conditions.
Bridge officials said about an inch of ice formed overnight and began falling from its cables and towers as temperatures rose.
Thursday’s falling ice prompted officials to shut down the bridge around 10 a.m. It is currently unknown when it is expected to reopen. Officials with the Mackinac Bridge Authority compared it to a similar closure last April and shared video of a close-call for drivers on the bridge at that time…
