Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie Jr. was in a Montgomery hospital recovering Thursday after what he described as a “procedure.”
Gillespie said after the Feb. 17 Prattville City Council meeting he felt nauseous and had pressure in his chest. “I thought it was indigestion left over from lunch but I listened to my body and decided I needed to get it checked out.”
Gillespie, 67, drove the two blocks from his home to the downtown Prattville fire station, and emergency workers took him from there to a Montgomery hospital. He underwent the procedure at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning…
