ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The St. Cloud Police Department has announced the promotion of Denise Roberts to the rank of Deputy Chief, making her the first woman in department history to hold the position and marking a milestone in a career that has spanned more than two decades of service to the community.
Roberts, who joined the department in 2001, has risen through every sworn rank, most recently serving as Captain. She steps into the role previously held by Deputy Chief Kirk Zilke, who retired in December.
