Arraignment set for woman accused of firing shots in St. Matthews hospital

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The woman charged after allegedly firing shots in a hospital room at a St. Matthew’s hospital Wednesday morning is set to be arraigned on charges of wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.

St. Matthews Police Chief Barry Wilkerson said that they received the call around 5:30 a.m. of a shots fired run. With the number of calls received, he said it was upgraded to an active shooter incident, which he believes led to confusion.

“We know that not to be the case,” he said. “It was isolated to one room.”…
