Man charged after disturbance with knife at Market Street children’s clinic

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is facing multiple charges after police say he entered a children’s clinic with a knife and later attempted to stab an officer Wednesday morning.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded just before 9 a.m. to the 3000 block of Market Street for a reported disturbance involving an armed man.

Police said 49-year-old Adrian Tribble, of Wilmington, entered a nearby children’s clinic and learning center while carrying a knife and caused a disturbance. Staff members were able to quickly remove him from the building…
