On Monday, January 12, 2026, at approximately 9:16 p.m., Officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to a report of a shooting in progress in the 8600 block of Park Court at the Paladin Club Apartments.
Officials said officers learned that an altercation occurred outside the apartment complex, during which gunfire struck a 15-year-old female, and debris from the incident caused a minor injury to a 44-year-old female. The 15-year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to her lower body. Responding Officers immediately rendered medical aid until New Castle County Paramedics arrived. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated and released. The 44-year-old female was evaluated at a local hospital as a precaution and later released.
During the incident, a 16-year-old male was also in the area and fled following the altercation; however, he was located later and found to be uninjured…
