The search for Nancy Guthrie is now in its 19th day, and authorities have increased the official reward for information relating to her kidnapping and disappearance.
Last week, the FBI announced it was doubling its reward offering from $50,000 to $100,000. Now, thanks to an anonymous matching donation, the total reward is in excess of $200,000.
Major donation pours in
On Wednesday, 88-CRIME, a local anonymous tip line, announced it had received a $100,000 donation. Combined with the $2,500 that was already being offered by 88-CRIME, that makes $102,500.
In total, the reward for information is $202,500, and that doesn’t include the additional $100,000 reportedly being offered by a Milwaukee attorney.
Lawyer gets involved
On Monday night, Milwaukee-based lawyer Michael Hupy said in a Facebook post that he was offering a $100,000 in conjunction with Crime Stoppers after “having seen no progress” in Guthrie’s case…
