SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Two people from Springfield are accused of causing a 2-month-old infant’s fatal injuries and failing to get medical help as the child’s condition worsened.
According to court documents, Jonathan Gaona, born in 1992, is charged with second-degree murder, a Class A felony; two counts of abuse or neglect of a child — serious emotional or physical injury, no sexual contact — Class B felonies; and first-degree, first-offense child endangerment, a Class D felony.
