Albuquerque, New Mexico – Damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph will sweep across central and eastern New Mexico by 9 a.m. Friday, creating dangerous crosswinds on major highways through late afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, a High Wind Warning is in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday for the Central Highlands and Guadalupe County, where west winds of 35 to 45 mph will gust as high as 60 mph. A Wind Advisory covers surrounding areas including the Sandia and Manzano Mountains, Estancia Valley, Glorieta Pass, Curry County, Roosevelt County and Harding County, where gusts could reach 55 mph…
