Anchorage mother dies after mobile home fire; remembered for her bravery

We have an update tonight on a heartbreaking story out of Anchorage. The woman who was left fighting for her life after a mobile home fire has passed away.

It was nearly a week ago — on Saturday, February 14 — when flames tore through a home on South Hoyt Street. Firefighters found 43-year-old Linda Tomaganuk unconscious inside. She was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries on Wednesday.

Family members say Linda, a mother of five, was the last to leave the home — making sure her relatives made it out safely. Her loved ones describe her as the heart of their family — strong, brave, and always putting others first…
