A Bradenton resident will serve time in federal prison after immigration authorities determined he had illegally reentered the United States, prosecutors said.
A federal judge sentenced Kenthen Lavardo Swain, a 36-year-old Bahamian national, to two years in prison on Friday after he previously pleaded guilty in November to illegal reentry by an aggravated felon, court records show.
Deputies arrested Swain in October 2021 after prosecutors charged him in connection with an incident involving a Bradenton police officer.
