U.S. House candidate indicted after Cincinnati hit-and-run

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Cincinnati-based congressional candidate was indicted after he fled the scene of a hit-and-run that left a woman seriously injured, court records show.

John David Hancock, 31, pleaded not guilty to failing to stop after an accident after a woman was hit crossing the road Dec. 3, 2025, according to a warrant issued by the Hamilton County Common Pleas Court.

County prosecutors said the incident happened at Groesbeck Road and Hamilton Avenue, where the victim got off a bus and crossed four lanes before being hit by Hancock…
