Family pleads for answers as search continues for driver accused of killing man during police chase in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One week after a man walking home was struck and killed by a driver fleeing from DeKalb County Police, the victim’s family is pleading for the public’s help to find the person responsible.

DeKalb County Police said an officer attempted to pull over a black Mercedes sedan on Feb. 12 for illegal window tint and an obstructed license plate. Police said the driver initially stopped, then sped away, prompting a pursuit.

A short time later, the driver hit 59-year-old Terry Loman as he walked along Candler Road, killing him. The vehicle never stopped…
