ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Greece Town Board voted unanimously this week to eliminate several management-level benefits approved in 2022, saying the changes will save taxpayers an estimated $100,000 annually.
The measure, proposed by Jeff McCann, rolls back policies that allowed certain managers to cash out unused sick time at retirement and receive health insurance coverage at no cost after leaving town employment.
Town officials said three management employees who retired at the end of 2025 received a combined $347,822 in unused time payouts, including $240,423 for unused sick leave.
