ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester is working to make it easier for people with disabilities to get around the city.
On Thursday, the city released the final draft of a required ADA Transition Plan to remove barriers to accessibility. The ADA Right-of-Way Transition plan reviewed 25% of the city’s sidewalks, covering 220 miles. Common issues identified include curb ramps, crosswalk access, and uneven sidewalks, particularly during winter.
