Sacramento, California – Temperatures are set to plunge to 28 degrees by 4 a.m. Friday across parts of the Sacramento Valley, creating freeze conditions that could damage crops and leave icy patches on area roadways before the morning commute.
According to the National Weather Service in Sacramento, a Freeze Warning remains in effect from midnight until 9 a.m. Friday for much of the northern Sacramento Valley, including Sacramento, Chico, Redding and surrounding agricultural communities.
