SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit has arrested 29-year-old Mikeara Gibbons in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on September 8, 2024.
Officers responded to the 10 block of Derenne Avenue at around 3:20 a.m. on reports of a traffic accident. Once on the scene, police located an adult male cyclist in critical condition.
The cyclist was provided with initial medical assistance and transported to Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car fled the scene before officers arrived…
