Good evening, Central New York. We’re wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.

Your Weather Planner

Unsettled weather returns to the forecast late tonight into Friday. Expect a chilly rain, elevation snow showers or a wintry mix to close out the week. Highs will be in the 30s and low 40s.

The higher terrain east of Lake Ontario is where snow will have the highest chance at accumulating. The daytime rain or a wintry mix switches to snow showers Friday night and snow showers will linger into Saturday with little to no additional accumulation expected.

Additional snow showers will be possible on Sunday. Highs over the weekend will mostly be in the 30s, with 20s expected across far northern New York.
