18-year-old charged in hit-and-run on I-66 in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — An 18-year-old is in custody after he was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run on Interstate 66 in Fairfax County.

In an update on Thursday, Virginia State Police (VSP) announced that Leobaldo Galicia Morales, of Manassas, was arrested and charged with felony hit and run, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and following too closely.

The charges are in connection with a crash that took place on I-66 near exit lane to Route 28, on just after 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 4. There, state police said a 2018 black Mazda was stopped for traffic, when an SUV slammed into the back of the car. The SUV continued driving at took the Route 28 exit.

The driver of the Mazda suffered minor injuries…
