TOLEDO, Ohio — Update: As of 12:05 p.m. the shelter in place has been lifted.
Toledo Fire and Rescue crews issued a shelter-in-place order Friday morning for a west Toledo neighborhood following an anhydrous ammonia leak at the Sofo Foods facility.
The facility on Waggoner Boulevard and Bennett Road was evacuated as HAZMAT teams worked to contain the source of the leak. Residents and businesses within a mile of the facility were told to stay indoors for nearly two hours before the all-clear was given shortly after noon…
