Dispute outside Cracker Barrel ends with man run down in parking lot, NC cops say

A 2008 Chevy Impala was used as a deadly weapon when it hit a man outside a Cracker Barrel restaurant, according to investigators in Matthews, North Carolina.

The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 9330 East Independence, and the man remains hospitalized, Matthews police said in a Feb. 19 news release.

“The Union County Sheriff’s Office … located an injured man in need of medical treatment. … It was later discovered that the man was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot,” police said. “Due to the severity of his injuries, the man was airlifted for medical treatment and is now listed in stable condition.”…
