Hamilton County commissioners approve term limits, but removes voter referendum from plan

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Voters will no longer have a say when it comes to terms limits for Hamilton County Commissioners and the county mayor.

Commissioner Lee Helton drafted the resolution for term limits. Under the resolution, the terms would be limited to three 4-year terms, equaling 12 years in office.
