Montgomery County carjacking suspect caught after jumping into river

CONROE, Texas (KBTX) – A carjacking suspect jumped into the San Jacinto River Monday night to escape police but was quickly pulled from the water and arrested after a chase that crossed county lines.

Kenneth “Shooter” Bone, 35, was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault following the incident that began around 10:35 p.m. on Coker Road in Conroe.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the victim told deputies that Bone, whom he knew, approached him, pulled out a gun, and stole his vehicle…
