A 16-year-old boy was shot in the knee Wednesday night in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side and is expected to recover, according to Chicago police.
Police said the teen was outside in the 7100 block of South Albany Avenue around 8:35 p.m. when someone opened fire, striking him in the knee. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the shooting happened on Feb. 18. Officers were investigating the scene Wednesday night, and detectives had not released any suspect description.
