PHOENIX — Jessica Cox, the world’s first armless airplane pilot, is preparing for her next takeoff in a plane built specifically for her.
Cox, an Arizona native, is set to receive a new custom aircraft known as the Impossible Airplane, designed to be flown entirely with her feet. The plane is expected to arrive this July and will allow her to fly farther and expand her disability advocacy work.
‘Disability doesn’t mean inability’
Cox has spent her life redefining what’s possible, both in the air and on the ground.
