KEYSVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Keysville Mayor James Neely was arrested after an altercation with a city employee that involved a potential racial slur, authorities say.
According to an incident report from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Keysville City Hall, 120 Old Waynesboro Road, for a disturbance on Feb. 11.
Witnesses told deputies Neely was involved in an argument with a city maintenance worker regarding the employee’s license and the employee’s ability to drive a city vehicle.
