BARNARDSVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy was involved in a crash while responding to a call on Thursday morning.
Officials said the deputy was on his way to a call for service involving an assault on a female with his lights and sirens activated around 1:30 a.m. The deputy’s patrol vehicle went off the road and hit a tree near Stoney Fork Road.
