2 arrested after multiple drugs, weapons found during search warrant in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – Two people have been arrested in connection to a drug bust in Shelby County.

According to the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force, investigators with the county’s executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4000 block of Highway 71 in the southern part of the county.

Authorities say as a result of the search, investigators found the following:

  • Trafficking amount of methamphetamine
  • Illegal scheduled prescription medication
  • Marijuana
  • 9 firearms

The task force says the occupants of the residence, Larry Keith Morris and Rachel Minor Morris, have both been charged as a result of the search warrant.

Larry Keith Morris, who was prohibited from possessing firearms, was charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and certain persons forbidden to possess firearms…
