Former Canal Fest treasurer charged with grand larceny

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Sanborn woman who previously worked as treasurer of the popular Canal Fest in the Tonawandas was arrested on a grand larceny charge last year, according to North Tonawanda police.

The festival complained of possible theft on Sept. 2. Carrie Heyn, 45, was subsequently arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny of theft of over $3,000.
