First Alert Forecast: Winter has returned with cold, wind and snow this weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – After several days in the 50s and 60s, winter has made its return, and will hang around at least into next week.

Afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the low 30s, but it will feel like the low 20s when you step outside thanks to wind gusts as high as 50 mph. A few inconsequential snowflakes are possible thanks to leftover moisture in the area, but accumulation isn’t expected.

What you need to do: Bundle up for your commute home. If you’re heading out this afternoon, dress in layers and secure any loose outdoor items that could blow away in the gusty winds.
