Ocala man allegedly tries to sell stolen auto shop ramps on Facebook Marketplace

A 28-year-old Ocala man accused of stealing aluminum ramps from a local auto shop has been arrested after he allegedly tried selling the ramps on Facebook Marketplace.

On Tuesday, January 20, a manager at Burynzz Classic Cars (1 Aspen Road in Ocala) contacted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to report that multiple sets of trailer ramps had been stolen from the business. The manager advised that the thefts began in late November of 2025, but the store did not initially report it to law enforcement because employees at the location would often borrow the ramps, according to the arrest report.

When the manager searched on Facebook Marketplace, similar ramps were allegedly listed for sale by a man identified as Nicholas Shayne Metcalfe. The report stated that one of his relatives, who lived nearby in Silver Springs Shores, also had listed “the same ramps for sale” on Facebook Marketplace…
