The University of Tennessee at Knoxville is following through with off-campus expansion plans that include purchasing a nearby office complex and transforming the former Walmart at University Commons into a student recreation center.
These projects will be presented for a vote by the UT System Board of Trustees at its Feb. 26-27 meeting, along with a $253.38 million proposal for a housing project that would replace three campus dorms.
