Since becoming involved in 4-H Youth Development at age 9, Clark County native and current Morehead State University freshman Joanna Yates has had a long interest in design.
Last year, such passion even led her to sew her own prom dress, inspired by the Disney film “Tangled”.
“The dress itself is a purple satin, and I have a 3-D overlay on it that has a bunch of flowers and pearls (and more),” she said. “The dress is more tight-fitting…it has a corset top (and) it has flowers all down the train, so it’s a very princessy feeling.”…
