Prodisee Pantry plans 2nd food pantry after Baldwin County land donation, fundraising next

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (NBC 15) — The Baldwin County Commission is donating land at the corner of AL-225 and Lakeview Road to Prodisee Pantry. The non-profit plans on building its second food pantry and resource center on the Stockton property. While food distributions are a regular occurrence at Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort, it currently offers monthly distribution events in rural north Baldwin County.

“Positioning ourselves north of Bay Minette has been a strategic thing to make it easier for those in those most rural communities,” said Executive Director Deann Servos.

Last year, 1,499 families attended the distribution events in Stockton, but that entailed Prodisee Pantry hauling 7-8 tons of food each month to parking lots at partnering churches…
