Lake Worth Beach Man arrested after interfering with deputies, spitting at paramedic

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 29-year-old Lake Worth Beach man was arrested Thursday evening after deputies say he interfered with an active arrest scene and later spit toward a paramedic.

Dawayne King faces charges of interfering with a first responder, two counts of resisting without violence, and assault on EMS personnel.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office probable cause affidavit, deputies were assisting the District 1 Street Crimes Unit with an arrest near 118 North A Street around 6:20 p.m. when King approached the scene on a skateboard. Deputies said a marked patrol vehicle with emergency “cruise lights” activated was parked nearby and contained an arrestee in the back seat…
