ROBOTAXI company Waymo has suffered a blowing setback in its mission to expand beyond America’s largest city.
The governor pulled a proposal yesterday which would have allowed the commercial driverless taxis to be piloted in the state.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed the plan was withdrawn which would have allowed companies like Waymo to apply for permission for pilot schemes without human operators in the vehicle.
