(KRON) — A 49-year-old Rohnert Park man was in jail for attacking his girlfriend when he sent a letter to the domestic violence victim, prosecutors said.
The victim had a restraining order against her boyfriend, John Steven Lombardo. He addressed the jail letter to her dog, which still violated the protective restraining order, the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office said.
“In the letter, Lombardo asked the victim to contact the judge and falsely describe the incident as an accident, stating that if she did not do so, he was facing one to three years in prison,” SCDAO wrote…
