Society Restaurant & Lounge, located at 8229 Georgia Avenue in downtown Silver Spring, has announced plans to rebrand as Society Seafood House. In a recent post on social media, the restaurant shared, “Coming Soon. Downtown Silver Spring’s destination for seafood, cocktails, and ambiance,” signaling a new concept focused on seafood dining and nightlife.
Since opening in 2012, the restaurant has been known for offering American fare with a Caribbean twist in a chic setting, with DJs and late-night entertainment.
Society Lounge was founded by former professional basketball player Jason Miskiri, a Montgomery County native who attended Montgomery Blair High School before playing at George Mason University and later reaching the NBA.
