A man who died Thursday after being struck by a truck as he tried to run across I-75 had stolen a vehicle from a 67-year-old man just minutes before the fatal accident.
Just before 12:45 p.m. Thursday, crews were sent to the Greyhound bus station at 415 Emerald Ave. on a report of an apparent carjacking in progress, police said.
The caller told police a man forced another individual out of a car and then drove off, dragging the 67-year-old victim for several blocks before he finally became free and fell to the pavement.
