A Las Vegas woman who was badly hurt in a crash on the ramp linking southbound Interstate 15 to the Interstate 215 eastbound connector has died from her injuries, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
Chloe Marie Pineda died last Friday after spending 12 days in the hospital following the Feb. 1 collision, according to a Highway Patrol news release issued the same day.
As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, investigators said Pineda was driving a white 2015 Volkswagen Jetta when it entered the shoulder area of the ramp, failed to remain in a marked travel lane, and struck a concrete pole support and a concrete bridge pier barrier. Troopers said the collision is being investigated by the Highway Patrol’s Southern Command.
