NWS increases snow totals for the Poconos in latest forecast

The National Weather Service is now predicting higher amounts of snow in the Poconos on Feb. 22 into Feb 23.

In its briefing issued the morning of Feb. 21, the weather service is forecasting 12 to 18 inches of snow for Mount Pocono, and at least 8 to 12 inches across all parts of Monroe County.

Most of Carbon County is also expected to see 8 to 12 inches. The same is expected for much of Pike and Wayne counties, with higher totals possible in southern Pike County and less predicted at the northern edge of Wayne County…
